Brief: The site possessed a 2 bedroom home semi-customised for the original owners by a project home builder. The previous owners had only one child, a teenage daughter. Both bedrooms were quite large and had an on-suite bathroom and walk-in robe. The house also had 2 small living spaces, a tiny dining room, a small kitchen and a seperate granny flat. The new owners had three children under the age 4 and required an open-plan living arrangement.

Result: The entire interior was gutted and replaced with 4 bedrooms, a study/TV-room and a very large open plan living area centered around the kitchen. The exterior was cleaned up so that the children could move from the open-plan living area out to a protected deck area adjacent to the swimming pool. The swimming pool fence was replaced with a glass fence for aesthetic reasons and the yard around the pool and deck were landscaped.
